The Stories They Tried to Erase
A Free Starter Guide for Educators and Lifelong Learners
Some histories weren’t lost. They were minimized, distorted, or deliberately pushed to the margins. This guide exists to restore context to the stories that shaped American policy, power, and inequality, but rarely make it into standard textbooks. It matters because erasure isn’t neutral. When we don’t understand the past clearly, we misread the present. This starter guide is for educators, homeschool families, book clubs, and thoughtful learners who want more than surface-level Black history and are ready to teach, study, and discuss it with depth and honesty.
